Been having a problem with a competitor with a RMA problem, serves me right I guess for not using overclockers.
Anyway my GTX 470 one day decided to not display a picture, I thought weird tried both DVI ports, now my monitor definetly detected some form of connection because it would say no signal when plugged in and then say cables unplugged when I take it out.
So I thought maybe could be my monitor playing up or could even be the DVI cable but instead of messing around with that I would check it in the system I built for my brother put it in connected the PCI-E cables and got post beeps, took card out and put back in the 460 that was originally in there no problem booting. At that point I guess the card is fooked.
Went back down to my system and made sure everything was connected properly and again no display but it does actually boot to windows since my speakers go off. Called my friend and asked him to bring his SLI 570's round wanted to see if theres enough juice in my power supply and it booted into windows fine with a display so at that point I definetly have to say the card is fooked so call up ???? and get an RMA number.
All was fine, I sent it off and then checked they confirmed recieving, next day no fault found and now I have to pay to get it returned, personally I think there having me over especially since it was right before the 6 month mark and if the product dies and is returned within 6 months thats a full refund and I don't think they want to pay me back the £305 I paid for the card whereas after 6 months they can then only give me what its worth on the day.
If Overclockers let me I can post the company name since this is a complaint about them and is only good business for them. Otherwise if anyone wants to know the company name so it can be added to an avoid list somewhere message me via trust.
