I am in the process of returning my faulty graphic card back to POV. After initial email i just got reply back from POV regarding shipping charges, please see below the email reply:

Dear Customer,

Because you can’t claim warranty by your reseller,

Point of view can take over the warranty handling.

Therefore the shipping costs both ways will be for your expenses.

To send the card back to you we will charge €25ex19%tax.

Please confirm within 2 days.

Kind Regards,

Elle Gerits.

I was under the impression that normally companies cover return postage back to customer. Has any one else have any kind of experience returning goods back to Point of view in the past. Thanks in advance.

resellers duty to cover postage under warranty. POV/manufactor don't have too.

No it isn't. Neither retailers/resellers or manufacturers have a responsibility to pay for return fees, besides if the good was mis-sold or similar.

OP: Sounds fine to me, and quite reasonable, though I'm sure you could always arrange your own courier if you wanted.

all the companies that i had to RMA stuff back to has sent my replacements back free of charge.even sandisk which is in the czech republic sent my 16gb micro sdhc card by a 3 day courier service free of charge. :)

i say dont buy a POV again.

Btw, why won't the retailer deal with it? How old os the item because just because the retailer may say it's not their responsibility, doesn't mean it isn't.

Card is round about 18 months old and needless to say that i won't be dealing with POV in future.
