Hi all thanks for taking the time to read this,

i have had to send some RAM back as it was showing lots of errors during memtest, i was wondering if you could tell me how long i can expect to wait for it to be returned, the ram has been sent back to Corsair and is XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz.

Thanks in advance

Jay

I think they give themselves a week to test stuff and let you know. Recently mine was tested within 3 days I think. It does depend how long since purchase an whether the item is in stock.

Tested within 3 days is about right.

It's a realtively easy piece of hardware to test and if the memory is faulty it will give up errors, usually, quite quickly - so turn around from troubleshooting is pretty fast.

Time of testing depends on where it is in the queue of things to be tested. If it's a quiet period, the turn around can be a lot faster - 3 years ago i had memory tested and swapped out in less than 4 days.

I sent some to holland and got the replacement within 2 weeks.
Rma'd some to OCUK and it took longer and the replacement was lower spec than the original ram.

Don't have experience of Corsair RMA but my Geil Memory had to go back to Taiwan. Turnaround was between 2 and 3 weeks so I'd imagine Corsair would be a little quicker

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my question guys, the ram in question showed 13312 errors during first test, yeah thats a lot isn't it, hope to get this back soon as having no gaming PC is killing me : (. With that amount of errors do you think it will get replaced or repaired??
