Hi all,

Bought a 5870 off the MM a few months back and have been plagued with snags ever since installing.

When i first flash up a game, it will run for approx 30 secs (varies depending on which way the wind is blowing) and then will crash the computer with vertical striped lines running through the screen. Re-boot and all is fine, can play away for hours.

I have updated the drivers several times and carried out the un-install routine that comes with CCC.

This is the second computer i have had it in as i swapped the mobo a few weeks back after getting an updated BIOS chip for my BlackOps (Q9550 issue).

Is there anything else i can try, or is it time to send it back and see whats what?
 
Has it done it on both mobo's? Make sure your chipset's and bios are up to date and if it still does it i'd seriously consider rma'ing it.
 
Yeah has done it on both mobos and yeah i do still have the original prrof of purchase, though it is not in my name.

Going to have a look at Sapphire website and see if i can scope anything out there too.
