Hi all

Did memtest for about 6 hours the other day on default settings no errors. Been having some bsod issues. I ran the test again today but changed settings to 5 and these are the results https://ibb.co/ek8NLH

Is it time to RMA these or could timings and voltage changes be needed etc? Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer DDR3 1600mhz

Update to the latest version of Memtest86. Reseat/swap the memory about. I've had random errors when using a very out of date version of Memtest. You're using the BIOS version rather than the newer UEFI version? Try the newer version (v7.5). Use the UEFI or startup boot menu to boot it as a UEFI device.

Hi thanks for the reply.

Im unsure if im using the UEFI version. I made a bootable usb version, went in to bios, boot options, found said usb drive, then booted it?

I'll look at doing your suggestions see how things pan out

Use something like Rufus to set up the USB as a bootable UEFI device. Then you should be able to use the Memtest install/ISO to put it on the USB. Then it will come up on your PC's boot menu (or UEFI boot order in the BIOS/UEFI of your PC). Then it should run with the newer v7.5 test.

It still wouldn't hurt to remove and reseat your RAM and maybe try different slots.

I've ran multiple tests now since i last posted using the UEFI 7.5 version, both ram sticks in slot A no errors, both ram sticks in slot B,1 stick with errors,1 stick with no errors.this singles out the problem not being the motherboard right?(i hope,i ordered a new mobo the other week,it came,i installed it and it basicly died after exiting the bios,RMA'd it,was sent a new board which is the one im on now).if its a case of RMA'ing the RAM do i send both sticks back to OCUK as it was a kit or just the suspected stick?.thanks

If it's a kit they are matched and you send both sticks back. If it was a fault with the slots in the motherboard, you would expect both sticks to show errors in the same "faulty" slot. The fact that you've only got one stick that shows errors in one slot seems to lean more towards a RAM fault.

ok thanks for your help, much appreciated.i shall contact OCUK and go from there.i think they have lifetime warranty so hopefully it wont be an issue.
