Ok,

Ordered a Logitech Dinovo Edge from a competitor (won't be doing that again!!) and basically it arrived and was all scratched and scuffed:(

So I got an RMA number etc etc and they even agreed to come and pick it up. So I have been waiting for Citylink to turn up. Just now a guy arrives in reception, no uniform and just a clip board with handwritting saying cusomer print here, Customer Sign here etc. Before I thought about asking for a reciept he had gone and driven off.

So i am a little concerned it might not have been a city link guy  . Is there anyway to check that it was the legitimate guy? I assume as he knew who to ask for at reception that it adds some legitamacy to it.

when I worked with a previous company who used Citylink for deliveries, we sometimes got a fella picking up the packages who wasnt wearing the correct citylink gear... could be an agency worker.

i wouldnt worry about it too much, if you have a reference number from when you requested the RMA you can bung that in the tracking package part on citylink tomorrow.

you should have atleast got the paper work.

All the city link guys i see and deal with always are in uniform.

I'd ask for proof before giving them anything if they arn't

Yeah thats why I am worried mate. I have been stupidly busy and wasn't really thinking straight and didn't realise i hadn't got any paperwork and by then he had driven off.

All he made me sign was a piece of paper with handwriting on saying print name, sign name etc. It wasn't a proper form just a white sheet of paper with handwriting on!!

Think i may phone up the etailor and see if they can check that it has been picked up.

def sounds fishy to me.

City Link franchise, so sometimes you don't actually deal with city link, but a company working in city links name. It might have just been one of the franchised parts of the company.

Don't worry about it,i've had a number of things delivered by city-link and none of the drivers have been in uniform.

So true lol

They just wear some dodgy green vest with really messed up hair.

Hehe, Chill, My brother works for citylink. he has a van with no stickers and, Just wears what he wants. His part of the job is very chilled! I would't worry! I have been with him before its quite simple! Give them a call if you are that worred! But i am sure its fine!

Well phoned the etailer and they then got through to Citylink and according to them Citylink has recorded the pickup of my item. So all is good, just gotta cross fingers my second keyboard is in mint condition.

Hi,
My dinovo edge arrived today, it appeared all scrached and scuffed.
There is a protective film on the keyboard, trouble is it is so well applied, it looks like the keyboard surface.
All you have to do is carefully peal it off, underneath is a lovely shiny keyboard ;)

lol you didn't unwrap it matrix? :P

to be fair i bought an 8800 gtx and i didn't notice the invisible film over the bloody air-vent of the graphics card for a week... dumb putting one there and not putting a sticker telling you imo!

Yeah lol i am a muppet, I only realised when i got my replacement lol. But no delivery charge!!! The people doing the RMA's must be muppets too lol.
