RMA to Liteon - Cannot Find proof of purchase ?????

just been on the phone to liteon

purchased a dvd recorder in march (off the net), its has started to play up,

phone liteon just and they tagged the serial number etc but have asked me to find my proof of purchase.

Now i dont keep emails , or stuff like that and for an item that cost £60 would not have really kept receipt

Anybody used LITEON RMA before - what if i cannot find my proof of purchase

Is there not a date of manufacture on the drive?

bank/credit card statement would do.

If you got the drive from e.g. OcUK, then they'd send you out a little receipt tagged onto the box. Have you lost that too?

Bank statement would only work if it was the only item you paid for on a single transaction.
