RMA'd a card from a new build, just got the new GPU - what should I do before putting it in?

hey, I had an MSI 280x that was RMA'd (praying that it was the gpu and not the mobo...) and I just got a new 280x. I am unsure on the drivers I have installed and want to make sure it works properly because i'm so paranoid of having to send a second gpu back... what should I do to check this? hell, i'm not even sure if the right mobo drivers are installed right now as I done a system restore and have forgotten what I did after (it was over a month ago, had exams and didn't want to stress about a pc too) - the computer is a new build. any tips would be welcome!

You should just be able to drop the card straight in and go as they are the same.

But as mentioned above, if you don't know for sure your chipset drivers etc. are correct then you may as well do a full reinstall for peace of mind.

ah, I THINK it's all good seeing as i've been using this pc properly for almost a month. I have little installed other than games, is reinstalling windows simple or can it go wrong (win 8.1)?

okay, the card came with no screws so i used the same ones i used for my other branded one and they're too big D: any advice here?

EDIT: I mean screwing the screws in too far makes them 'pop' out and loosen slighty; apparently the card is recommended to have a 750w PSU apparently even though I was told my 550w one i bought would be fine :/ I hope i don't have to send another gpu back!

AMD just say to use a 750w as their are so many crappy chinese made PSU's that say they are 750w but don't even put out 400w so as long as you have a decent 550w PSU you will be fine.
