RMAing ATI , what to replace it with?

I am finally returning my ATI HD5850. I have had nothing but Driver stopped responding error for months with ATI and Sapphire not being able to help.

Question is what to replace it with?

I am wary of ATI now, this is my first that has been duff but I am tempted to get an Nvidia instead incase of a repeat performance. I will also be choosing something other then Sapphire.

I am looking at :

ATI 6900 series
NVIDIA 560/570 series
(though these above seems equal price or similar - are they all faster?)



I would like something equal if not better. The ATI cost me £213 but I do not mind spending up to £280 ish.

Oh, also i would like something with a decent cooler on it. My stock 5850 went up to near 80C.


My MB is an Asus M4A79xxx EVO.

Oh sorry, 1920x1080.

Currently used for FF XIV and soon Dragon Age 2.

I was running out of time to get one for tomorrow (i cant return mine until i have a box) and there is no one in on Monday to take it!

I went for a EVGA 570. Dragona ge kept having problems with ATI and hopfeully I will not have to put up with the crashing with an Nvidia.
