RMA'ing GeIL RAM

Hi,

I bought some GeIL Value RAM (PC3200) a long time ago from OCuk... how can i RMA a stick (if i find iit to be faulty?).... i dont think i can do it through u guys since i wont have a reciept anymore... they are lifetime warrenty right?

Edit: Also... id like to know what your experiences on testing RAM has been?.. except for memtest, i use that.. what other ways do u test the RAM?..

Edit-v.2 ^^: Also anyone with the same RAM or experience with it could you please post what your best speed/timings out of this RAM was? (and on *** volts)

hello mate - ive go the 3200 Ultra X stuff - very reliable so cant help you really -if its a lifetime warranty then you need to send it to Geil im afraid.

If its something we no longer sell any longer - Check on our website and we no long have a similar product listed on our website, then its best you speak to GeIL directly.

If however we still stock the product or something similar/superior then RMA back to ourselves and we can sort for you, irrelevant of how many years ago it was.

You will need your order number though!
 
Geil ram is hard to RMA. i dont know if its different now but my ultra-x was faulty and the company that sold it didnt want to know. they sent it back and charged me for 'testing' it. speak to Geil directly is the ONLY advice id give you.
 
i've got the same problem to , bought some geil value ram from ocuk a while ago, mislaid the receipt, spoke to ocuk yesterday but without the original order number they wont do anything , christ if you kept every receipt from everything you bought for years and years you'd need a shed just for paperwork....lol , i've now emailed golden dragon in the u.s. and taiwan but suprise suprise no reply as yet , lifetime warranty dont mean a lot does it.

Hi there

Check your email to see if you have the old confirmations.

If not call up sales, get them to do a search on your postcode, when they find your geil order then get them to give you your order number and then call RMA to get RMA sorted. On the Value RAM we still stock it so RMAing that is no issue no matter how many years ago you bought it.
 
hi gibbo , thanks for your reply but i came to the shop and collected the memory same as i've done more recently with my 7900gt and my 4400x2 both receipts have no name on them just shop order so i dont think thats gona be any help , thanks anyways i've emailed geil again today on the off chance but it looks like its heading for the bin....lol

same type of thing here i bought all my pc bits in OcUK shop when i was building it.. since i live 5mins away i dont order online

Ah - but you have the rest of your life to get an e-mail back from them. That's why they call it a lifetime warranty. Or maybe you shouldn't answer the door to any oriental looking hitmen?
 
I have 2x512MB Geil Value that is sitting in my computer punching out memtest errors at below stock specs....... bought it a yaer and a bit ago, from here along with an X800XT PE (which is still going strong!) but i used my other email address, and havent used the acount since, so when i try to get my password sent has no account hooked up to it.

How long do accounts last before they expire? It must have been Oct/Nov last year type of time, me and a mate grabbed X800XT PEs each, and i got some GEIL value to go with it.
 
gibbo can you post me the correct email address for rma's to geil please as i've got no reply from the two i've used , also if you have one a telephone number ....cheers :)
