Has anyone had any luck RMAing faulty sticks to them, they don't have a uk based return site, and i can't find my proof of purchase to use with the original shop. I'm not really liking the idea of posting my sticks all the way to the us of a.

I RMA'ed mine to Corsair over a month ago using Royal Mail International Signed For Airmail with extra insurance. Their tracking system shows that it's been passed to the US Postal Service but they don't track it after that. The parcel should have arrived ages ago but hasn't so I don't know if it's lost in the USA somewhere, nicked, stuck in US Customs or whether Corsair have received it but have mislaid it. I read elsewhere that even though they get a record of the signature being taken they don't update the RM website with the details - great huh? Now I have to decide (see my other thread) whether to risk buying some more RAM. I really, really wish I'd used FedEx or some other service where they have proper tracking.

From looking at the Corsair forums, their RMA service seems very mediocre and needs a lot of chasing sometimes. Frankly, after this experience and reading their forums I don't think I'll be buying a product that needs RMA'ing all that way again if I can help it!

Sorry I couldn't be more positive! But send via FedEx or such like and chase them up over the phone* if you don't hear anything a few days after delivery and you should be ok!

(* they don't chase RMA statuses via the forums anymore - you have to phone a US phone number).

cheers for the infom, I might blagg/borrow my works DHL account :D and use that, at least i can track it, and i trust the pickup lady, even if i don't really trust the rest of the network. :), was yours a single stick or did you send a pair as suggested on their forum. I don't really want to be without my pc for a long time.

The advice on the Corsair forum was to send both sticks so they can send a matched pair back. I didn't want to either but I did in the end. I had to take 512mb of DDR333 RAM from my missus's PC to keep mine going.

this is the reason that when I upgraded from my Corsair I went Crucial ....

even if the Crucial RAM was much less reliable (which it's not) - 48 hr UK RMA is much nicer - phoned them up today - no automatic queing system or anything - straight through and a 0800 number to boot ! :)

Yes - Crucial are the very best for RMA's for UK based customers. There is never any hassle with them. Unless you have the Anniversary RAM, and then they'll try and tell you their PC5300 Ballistix is the same stuff. If that's so then they made mugs of an awful lot of us - paying £30-£50 extra for blue heatspreaders.
