Since you did such a good jon on helping me with my decision on my new Trek, i was wondering if your expertise could be called upon again on choosing a rod/town/hybrid bike for my dad.
Seeing my new flashy bike has re-kindled days of old and now he's adamant he wants one to improve fitness on an to use for mild commuting.
I've convinced him that there is no point in paying £500 for him to use it twice and for it to never see the light of day again.
So were looking in the £250 region.
Here are some i've been looking at for him.
I think the Claud Butler is great, but he'd prefer a bike in black, but its not a deal hanger.

The 2nd link, the Ridgeback is the bike he's seen in Edinbough Cycles in black, but £500 is far too much for him.
