That red bike is horrible.

It was work's water rockets competition yesterday so in the spirit of things I rode my 1938 BSA in. Fixed gear, 48/16 gearing and wildly relaxed geometry on an exceptionally heavy steel frame. I thought my knees were going to be a lot worse today that they are but I was very impressed with how it performed. The Bob Jackson felt very, very strange this morning though!

Cannondale CaadX

I now want it for winter :D or a cheaper one lol.

Hes borrowed it off another lad as his roadies out of action atm.

It looks a beaut! On paper its quite good too, he's faster on this than his road bike in some places too weirdly!

How you finding it? My roadie is my commuter so I don't wana get one yet, ill probably buy one Oct/Nov time.

No idea what id like to be honest.

Gonna have to get some advice in a few months time!

I also have exactly this bike, alongside my PlanetX Carbon Fibre and my Marin hybrid - more often than not it's the CX that comes out with me. Honestly, it's a spectacularly good bike. A bit weighty - about 10.5Kg I think out of the box - but you forget about it on the bike. I love it, it's my fave bike by far.

I have to be honest...ive only used it twice; to work and back. LOL! I was out the country for a bit and this week I've been selling stuff so needed my car.

But I love it.

Got a load of dura-ace & carbon stuff coming so my roadie will be my sunday best. :-)

nice - how long has that been?

Mine is still showing 5 weeks till shipping and I ordered on 21st May!

Mine was ordeded on the 9th May,
Original "build date" was 7th July.

So it took a little over 5 weeks for me :)

Ordered a black Xeon RS 4400 with Red 22 brakes and Front derailleur oh and 25"s

Awesome bikes, although I was slightly disappointed with the CaadX as it's heavier than it really should be, there are plenty of other disc Cannondales a similar weight and setup yet more designed for CX (Synapse Carbon & Hi MOD's). To me the road version (CAAD) should be a lighter affair as it's aimed more towards the road.

Also the rear caliper on the CaadX being outside the dropout really limits what mudguards you can fit...!

The rim road Cannondales have fantastic bright colours and designs, yet for the disc's Cannondale seem to have favoured black, with options of more black and a stinky yellow/green snotty colour! Cannondales should be loud and in your face! Not look like something my dad would commute on: Caad10 Black, Synapse Rival.

The only exception I've spotted was the Synapse Tiagra - the kinda loud design & colours I expect from Cannondale! Just a shame Tiagra

If I didn't get my Giant Defy 1 I'd probably have got a Caad 8 or 9. I've a friend who loves them, has an 8, Slice and Synapse. He's a bit of a Cannondale groupie, he hired the Caad10 Ultegra and EVO Di2 when over in Majorca before deciding which to buy, he now has the Caad10 Ultegra.:rolleyes:

Nothing to report on my last few commutes, wind was stronger yesterday than all week but ambient was ok. Better today but feeling cooler, can tell the weather is changing... Rain tomorrow! :(

Getting a bit of a grind again from my BB area, gonna strip and clean sunday as well as getting some miles in. Commuted every day this week after a busy half week (after my weeks holiday). Done 100 miles in 8 days (1 rest day in the middle) which is pretty high for me! :D

Ahh so nice to be able to commute in, wife back to work so kid runs in the morning mean I only get once a week now so took the opportunity for a longer ride.

Will probably do a similar longer ride home, maybe going the opposite side, just find something that'll give me 1-2 hours.

Had a weak and senior moment last night and spotted the Blue Gabba 2 in stock on CRC.

My birthdays coming up so that's the only way I could justify the £150 price tag... Ordered an XXL.

After placing and paying for the order I thought 'lets just check wiggle' and sure enough they were back in stock! Doh! Also get my Platinum discount there (making them £132)...

So if it doesn't fit perfectly it'll go back to CRC and I'll order the different size from Wiggle lol :D
