Finally got my FLO Carbon wheels through after they got stuck at customs, which also cost me a fair bit extra due to it coinciding with brexit and the £:$ slump :(

Anyway:

Thanks for the tip off for sport pursuits 20% off, grabbed the GP4000s II for the Cervelo. :)

Now she looks super sexy! :D

(Had to go 23mm as that's the widest the frame will accept on the rear arch, there's about 1mm of space)

Been looking at those wheels, how do you find them?

I like them a lot, I don't have much to compare them too as they're the only aero wheelset I have, but compared to the stock wheels (Mavic Cosmic Elites) they feel faster to accelerate on and are more aero (obviously) but have no reason to fault them as of yet!

Not too bad to climb with either considering they weigh 1660 grams, but really shine when riding 25mph+ and descending, I'd recommend them from what I've seen about them and my own experience with them so far. :)

Zuus like many others are just reselling Chinese carbon. You can get better value going direct but obviously risk buying rubbush with little comeback. However do you research and you'll save yourself 200 quid and probably get a better overall package.

Well I'm seriously not impressed with Castelli clothing.
The sizing is all over the place, it's uncomfortable to wear and my new Free Aero Race bib shorts have ripped at the back after the 2nd use. They have added a small strip of material at the top to strengthen it but it's useless. (See below)

DHB clothing is cheaper, more comfortable, fits properly and after 2 years use they are still in perfect condition.

I've got the same shorts and exactly the same issue happened to me. My missus reckons I should write to the manufacturer but I haven't yet. As a temporary fix she used her sewing skills.

Maxeh lent me 'The Climb', haven't ready much but it's pretty slow to start with going in to perhaps unnecessary levels of detail about his childhood but I guess it's painting a picture...

Finished 'David Millar - The Racer' which I found enjoyable & insightful enough.
Yeah Froome's 'beginnings' are quite well known but still incredibly interesting, especially how he made it as a pro.

Millar's book was a bit of an unknown for me, I'd heard of him but not really appreciated what kind of history and rider he was. I read it to 'get it out of the way' (before reading others) and it's been fantastic, I think I'm enjoying it more than the Cavendish book (which was still great!). I've become a David Millar fan! His writing style is brutally honest, yet insightful & very entertaining/engaging. Although I have found he does go off on tangents which does make the feel of the book (the 'story') a little disjointed.
It's like if your mate made it as a pro, then came back to ride with you at home once every few months he would tell you all these daft and funny stories from pro life. That's what it's like and it's really fun.
Glad to hear so much of his character comes through in his writing!
At points of The Racer, particularly describing stages, TT's or crashes I couldn't read the words or turn the page quick enough :)
Yup, brilliant! He's not afraid to point the finger and place blame either, not in an accusing way, more like disproval!

Ouch, that's Tight! Tighter than my Defy and it's guards (where leaves and grass can get stuck causing 'rubbing' feeling/sounds - keep an eye on it!).

At least that rules me getting an S5 out...! (25mm minimum for me, with guard clearance!) :o

Agree - "G's" book is funny, easy read. Light reading and nothing too serious.

Just finished David Millar book as well - super read, very interesting how it all came around, doesn't pull any punches in terms of content, thoughts, who he likes, who he doesn't etc - very good read.

Thanks for update - Wiggle have agreed to swap mine but with the hassle of posting and potential of them ripping again i'll just fix them myself.

Not the kind of quality you expect from a high end cycle clothing company though. DHB ones are better for half the price.

Oli those wheels look superb on that Canyon! Perfect decal/colour match & combo! :) Shame about the iPotatocam ;)

I did a little loop last night at my temporary 'home'. So many hills around here I couldn't really avoid them so did one with a long flat mainroad stretch.

Climb/hills out over towards New Radnor I've not been along for 8+ years (in the car) and it doesn't seem as far as I remember. Still quite beasty climbs, just not as long as I was fearing! Still had to be careful not to go too deep so early as it was only meant to be a gentle loop! ;)

The main road back I knew was fast so used it as a bit of an interval/threshold test, seems like it's slightly downhill as doubt I could maintain a 25mph avg for 3 miles otherwise! Impressed with it and want to repeat it the other way! :D

Ride back in from the main road was one I've done a number of times, with a couple of quite long drags, especially the climb up to my parents. Did it seated this time pacing myself. For a cooldown I hadn't got many options apart from an easy spin up the climb past the house (see picture from the turnaround at the top), saw someones created a segment on it so will have to put in a real effort on it at some point! ;)

I've been looking round places and direct is only a bit cheaper(those Zuus come in at £400) but at least Zuus is based in the U.K. So in theory any problems should be easier to deal with.
