Hi guys was wondering what people would suggest for up to £300ish for a set of clincher wheels. I've currently got DT swiss axis on the bike and am looking for something a bit stiffer & lighter.

I've noticed that wheels seem to be cassette specific (within reason) and i'm unsure if me being on 8 speed is going to be a problem as practically every wheel says its for 9/10/11?

Anyway, after having a look around i've narrowed it down to a few...

Pro Lite Bracciano A42
3T Accelero 40 Pro
Fulcrum Racing Quattro

Thoughts on these and suggestions for better alternatives? :D

Thanks

If you were 10 speed...

Extra 10% discount at the checkout works at at about £303.

But you're ... 8 speed, so I don't know.... hmm (sorry)
But there's this from Fulcrum FAQ:
What types of freewheel body does Fulcrum produce?
Fulcrum produces two types of freewheel body: a specific one for Campagnolo drivetrains (from 9 to 11 speeds) and one for Shimano and Sram drivetrains (from 8 to 11 speeds).

Q&A on wiggle says you WILL be able to fit these with a 8 speed shimano cassette, but you'd need a 1.85mm spacer, but that seems a little too thin for me...

So... probably :) ? But I don't know what i'm on about - I just upgraded to these wheels with a 10 speed shimano cassette and had to use the thicker spacer ring that I found in the box, after raging for several minutes because the sprockets were all wobbly. :D

edit: Maybe you won't need a spacer at all?
