...I've been having so much fun!! A & B roads for over 200miles every other night without a peep from anyone. It feels like endless ribbons of tarmac without anyone around to spoil the experience! Best thing to come from covid :D

NVP I wouldn’t be posting that info online lol
Just in case you're serious... Police can fine me if what I'm doing doesn't reason with their common sense based around the government's guidelines, they can arrest me if I don't comply with any instruction they give. It's chillin ;)

No torque, so of course not. Needs 2 miles beforehand to build up some revs and speed :D:D
:D

Nice that the petrol is like 103p a litre.
Where the **** are you?! Or, I see... It's still around 113 cheapest last I saw round here.

There are many reasons people may be travelling 200+ miles under these guidelines, other than being a heart surgeon.

Medical care: “Any medical need, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person.”

Work: “Travelling to and from work, but only where this absolutely cannot be done from home.”

Bloody conceit and disdain all up in hurr - people need to think before jumping guns.

Not to mention all the joggers I high five out my window.

Fuel wise I use the Gulf 24hr one, on route, convenient and cheaper too.

Going for an unnecessary spirited drive and risking ending up in a ditch needing an ambulance and a whole bunch of emergency services seems a bit silly to me. Guess I am being boring though.
Agreed
the whole time I'd be worried about getting pulled over or whatever... I'm sure that would take some of the fun out of it!
Haha that's me regardless of any lockdown :D
Not boring, just doing the right thing. All these selfish people are the reason it keeps spreading so well.
Who's being selfish?
Depends if you have to push the car home or not :p
Haha :D
Say you crash your car, and it requires the emergency services to attend, and you take up resources and a bed that could be used from someone dying from C-19. Say you then contract C-19 because you're in a hospital...

This really isn't the time to be hooning around putting yourself and other at risk. My tuppence.
Yep, quite eye opening this thread, I have a fire station in view I've just seen them all arrive and go off in a fire engine sirens blazing. So to speak.

Why do people think they're allowed to break the rules.
Lots of assumptions...

Stating why you are driving 200 miles?
I pretty much did many posts back...

...I feel I fall within these guidelines :)

Thread was clearly designed to aggravate people.
Haha not at all, didn't realise we had so many people so easily worked up :D

No need for luck.

No fears about confrontation from authority over my travel needs, more about my blood alcohol content :D

Interesting take to this thread... I throw jokes into most of my posts but for some reason this one is being taken as a troll? Obviously I'm not driving drunk, just stoned.

What strange reactions this topic is breeding...

So far none have bothered with me anywhere along my journeys and I'm currently doing an additional ~20miles due to night road closures, which is actually quite nice as the other night I decided to throw on google maps instead of following the detour and it took me down some really lovely, low hedged curvy roads. Nice area for those types of roads, lots of fun :)

Hey guys, just putting my shoes on ready to go tonight - all ready to raise your fists in a collaborative shake of anger? Careful whilst being sat so high up on your horses

Going to try and go the way google took me the other day, that road was lovely :)
