Robert Duran vs Sugar Ray Robinson at welterweight, fantasy fight.

As in the title I wonder who would have won in a fight at welterweight.

Sugar Ray Robinson was best known for being 5 times middleweight champion but before that he was welterweight champion but ran out of people to fight so moved up.

Roberto Duran was best known for being lightweight champion before moving up to welterweight.

Welterweight is about the only category where both of these fighters could have competed without being at too much of a disadvantage.

If both these fighters were in their prime who do you think would have won?

Maybe Julio Caesar Chavez would’ve been a better opponent for Robinson?

It’s too difficult to gauge people across different eras as it is in football.

Edit: Or not I thought he fought at a higher weight for some reason.
