Yeah I just read up, he sounded exactly the same as him from the movie in the first trailer though, new one sounds really odd. Probably due to being older and him saying different things and not in the same tone as the movie.

The same devs made that Terminator Resistance, just downloaded it to give it a try.

i think it looks ok... but not good enough yet for me to go all in on excitement (the original arcade game is still the only truly great robocop game imo - number 2 was "ok")

i am glad they got Peter Weller in to do the voice acting but
1) really sounds like he is just in a studio reading lines, there is no passion in there or feeling of context when the lines are being said in the game
2) i hope this is just because "beta" but it sounds like Peter Weller.... but not like Robocop. it needs that metallic "tint" adding to the voice.

i love robocop 1 and 2 (films) and really want a game to do it justice... if it misses the mark it will likely just annoy me so like i said, not getting hopes up yet.

i dont think it is an age issue....... i think it is just an enthusiasm issue (and that makes me sad)

check out the voice work in the alien isolation pre order DLC and see it done well..... and that was for a free preorder bonus. they were all much older actors playing their role......

edit and sort of on point, Starwars TV series Obi Kenobi still has James Earl Jones doing the voice and he must be in his 90s now.... (that must surely be computer enhanced however, but then that could be done with Weller if needed (I still am not convinced it would be if they just added a robot filter to the voice).

I loved Robocop and still watch it now and again.

However, got to ask... Robocop 2, you liked this one?

Maybe I'll give it a go. I got half way through it when it came out, switched it off as was shocked by how bad it was (imo) and never did actually see it! :)

its no robocop 1 but sure, i enjoyed number 2. i hated 3.... but i have only seen it the once. i have the trilogy ... cant remember if it is on blu ray or still DVD, maybe i should give 3 another go (its not peter weller however so right away i have an issue with it... but sometimes going back to a film even that dissapointed initially and they are not that bad. i genuinely enjoy Alien 3 now despite raging about it back in the day................... And star wars episode 1 is "ok" imo. maybe i need to give terminator 3 another shot as well.

the less said about the robocop tv series however the better.
 
Loved Robocop, will get this if it's half-decent.

And will be re-watching the film again soon. It's been too long. Epic! My girlfriend is going to hate it! :D She can't stand any violence. I told her the guy from 'That '70's show' is in it and it's funny :D ho ho ho

The city looks nice but everything else still looks janky as anything. The NPC animations also look like they are running at a lower framerate.

Do not want.

I'm predicting it gets around 60% score in reviews, also micro stutters aplenty, notice how they show no gameplay with fast camera movements, all really slow to make sure the stutters aren't obvious. Great.

It's not actually a bad game, very on rails and a by the numbers story but if you want a shooter to satisfy that Terminator future war itch, it's worth playing.
