Now there's a puppy in the house I figured it was time to invest in a robot vacuum. Stuck between the Eufy X8 for £400 and the Neato D7 for £440.

Reviews seem to be dependent on the reviewer's home. Anyone have any feedback on which they prefer please? Eufy seems to have better battery life but a video I saw had it getting stuck on a lot more items than the Neato.

I have hard wood floors, low pile carpet and a huge deep pile carpet.

Go for one that isn't going to get stuck tbh.

Also, make sure the dog is toilet trained... unless you want **** smeared EVERYWHERE

Now that would be unfortunate! Glad you clarified which of us needed to be toilet trained though haha

Going to try the Eufy as they have a 30 day money back guarantee.

I have a eufy g30.
Dog is coming soon.

Without dog it's been great. It even gets over (just) a thick pile Rug. I didn't get the laser one as it wouldn't fit under the sofa. Honestly. It going under the sofa or be laser guided? Sofa every time!
It's one of those intelligent 'moves in logical path' ones rather than remembers the house.

I think it's great. Actually an amazing piece of tech. My parents have a cheap Chinese one and it's garbage. Only thing I'd change is having one with a self Emptier.

Only run it twice a week at the moment (no dog yet as above) . But it fills that bin every damn time!

Dog comes in 2 weeks. Will see how it holds up!

Damn browsing these forums doesn't half cost me money sometimes!

I've got an old Eufy 11C which has been amazing for the past ~3-4 years I've had it but now pondering an upgrade to the X8 or G30, both sound like they've got a bit more suction which has been where the 11c has started to fall short of expectations (don't get me wrong it's a really good piece of kit, just still need to run the dyson over areas every now and then to get the more stubborn bits up)

Top tip though, Amazon spring sale starts in a couple of weeks ;) and Eufy are often heavily involved in events there (I think I'm ok mentioning as OCUK don't sell robot vacuums?)

You also get 24 month warranty through Amazon rather than 12 through Eufy direct. We just bought the new 2500pa suction G20

I've got the D7. Nothing short of superb. Couldn't recommend it more.

We've deep pile carpets, a husky, not the smallest house. It does it with ease.

And until I read you saying about battery life, I'd forgotten it existed. It's never run out of battery, and I often let it do the entire downstairs, then take it to do upstairs too without charging in-between. On max.

The dust bin gets full quick - that's both a pro and a con I guess.

I've had other cheaper ones before, this blows sucks them away. Get it. You can hold me personally accountable should it not work out.

Had my eufy g30 verge for a few months now. And now have a dog.

It's amazing. The floor looks clean every time it goes out and the bin is rammed.

It's out 3 times a week now. Considering adding another.

It's efficient (definitely didn't need the LIDAR one) suction it's good. I stick it on max as it doesn't run out of battery.

I had a cheap brand a few years ago and its amazing how much better they are.

Highly recommended

Does anyone have a self emptying one? And are they any good?
