Roccat Kone+ - Anyone got one, BF3 problems?

Hi all. Was given a Kone+ at Xmas.

Lovely mouse, very nice feel once you've sorted the weights.

Problem is, I cannot get key bindings to work with my Windows 7 laptop. On all my previous mice, assigning keybindings was easy as they were set up as a keystroke. With this mouse, unless I'm being stupid, there is no keystroke binding available, only macros.

I've set-up macro's for BF3, being simple key presses for Jump, Crouch etc. I've never used macros before so I assume I'm doing it right. Macro is listed as "Press key, release key". I've tried inserting delays between press and release but no matter what I do, BF3 will not accept the bindings either from the Roccat software or assigning in game. I've tried raw mouse input etc also.

Has anyone got keybindings working with this mouse and BF3? Could it be an issue with BF3 and macros?

I uninstalled it last night and reinstalled my Razer mouse. The keystroke bindings work fine with that.

I'm running latest driver but only Firmware 1.4 as I cannot get later firmwares (1.45) .to install on the mouse.

Any help appreciated. Cheers.
 
i have the kone+ on driver version 1.49 and firmware 1.45 no issues assigning keystrokes at all.
Best bet is uninstall all drivers razor/roccat and ms ones,use old roccat drivers to update latest firmware and then install latest drivers? make sure to delete any leftover crap too with any cookie/crap cleaner program.

Thanks all.

Fixed it by doing two things. Managed to get round the bugged firmware issue by installing all firmware updates in order. Took ages.

Secondly, you can assign a simple keystroke via using the "Assign a shortcut" binding. Not obvious and took a day of Google searching to find this out.

Bindings now working perfectly with BF3.
