Inquiring to anyone that has a roccat kone+ faulty scrollwheel ?

Basicly for some reason randomly when i try to scroll up or scroll down it will miss the first scroll and i have to scroll again for it to move.
does not happen all the time, does it at random times, its a nightmare as when im gaming i change weapons with my scroll wheel and times i go to change my gun it does not change with the first scroll but only the 2nd scroll, really annoying in competitive matches.

I have put in a RMA request for full refund from OCUK.
though i might not have to do that if there is a fix out there ? i have heard about people using WD40 to fix this

BUT wont this break guarantee/warrenty ? ?

I was going to get that mouse along with the Roccat Isku, but with how bad the scroll wheel issue was I stayed far away. I've seen fixes that you don't exactly need to take the mouse apart, where you can apply WD-40 in the right spot just under the scroll wheel which should fix it. Whether that would break the guarantee i'm unsure.

I need to know from a OCUK rep if doing this will break guarantee first before even trying it.
there must be a design flaw with the way this mouse`s scroll wheel operates.
there are just far to meny people with the same main issue *SCROLL WHEEL*

had my G500 for few years and it didnt have any scrollwheel issues what so ever never missed a beat and its still working perfectly in a drawer.
This mouse on the other hand is a expensive optical device, it should not break after 2 weeks lol

Had the V1 of this mouse for almost 2years without issue, it does seem like a common fault and not fixed in the plus version. Speak to OcUK (Assuming you purchased it from here) in the customer support section and start up an RMA.

I have already started a RMA, for a full refund, i wont accept replacment with this mouse as i beleave there is a hardware fault with there scroll wheels.
i was just making the post to inquire about a fix if possible before going though all the hassle of refund.

I used to have the Roccat Kone+ when it first come out, The scroll wheel was perfect. After i quit and come back to pc this year i purchased the same mouse and it had the same problem you was experiencing. must have had a bad batch.

I've had 2 Kone+ this year and both had mouse wheel's that had the same problem, you can Youtube the mouse and find video's of the glitch and even Google search it and get user reviews on various sites all complaining about the mouse wheel.

ROCCAT now have the Pure and XTD versions of the Kone, both which boast the new "TITAN WHEEL!" technology saying it's the most reliable mouse wheel ever and has new encoder switches.

It all seems like a sly way of saying "Yeah we know our previous mice had crap wheels and this is what we've done to fix it". So I went and watched the official Youtube video for the Kone XTD and naturally there are comments are like "But does the mouse wheel work?" and unfortunately there IS a comment from someone claiming to have bought and XTD and that the mouse wheel broke within 1 week.

I really like the Kone and want to have 1 again, but the mouse wheel... I will be keeping an eye on the Youtube channel and user reviews on various sites looking specifically for the mouse wheel.

titan wheel is the most hilarious non innovation innovation ever, even a bogstandard no name mouse has a scroll wheel that doesn't break if you press down too hard.

The kone mice now have TITAN WHEEL which they have the cheek to pass off as a innovation, well I've never heard of scroll wheels breaking on any line of bogstandard mice but the kone gaming mouse has a wheel that breaks at the drop of a hat.

Roccat also make the fugliest line of keyboards I have ever laid eyes on, and their headsets are gimmicky.

Roctat.
