ROCCAT KONE V2 - Constant Problems -

Bought a roccat kone V2 a few weeks back and despite its smooth operation during game's it still has constant problems.

To start with , it worked fine... i used the software @ one point just to see extra options for customization but took it out when i was happy running it without it there.

A few weeks later when i start the system and windows loads, it would be dead...mouse would move but not click anything, a simple unplug and replug and it wud be fine, problem would only occur after a power down/restart.

Annoying as it was , i could live with it and just carried on. When the mouse worked it was great.

Now, and the big problem, it will move around my screen but will not respond to any clicks made, the computer can see its there... it will highlight what i mouse over on screen but it wont register the input of clicking..... the previous fix does now not work, i have upto date drivers and always did have, my system has not changed in the last few weeks, iv tried it without other USB devices plugged in or the mouse just in differant USB slots, re installed drivers, tried it with and without its own software, device manager drivers and roccats from there own site have been tried seperately in case there was any differance...

im out of ideas.

Have u re-installed windows ?

Most cases like this it's something in registry broken which can't be fixed propably by manual work unless u are on payroll of M$ and coding Windows 7 or upcoming stuff

Have u tried to roll-back to earlier state without this "optimization" software?

I had same with my Razor Copperhead at certain point under Windows XP it was working till certain security patch from Microsoft came along - updated and mouse answers, clicks but no macros, original driver would'nt read, removing all registry entries of Razor did not help etc.
Solution for me:
Installed win on second disk - all works like charm - had certain software installed on old system but i had to spit and delelete the system to get my mouse function.

Wild guess , but might try like this -
Take fresh disk. Install windows there , install all drivers necessary updates u have on your old system etc , if mouse work there like charm - make backup of registry copy it to your "mouse not working version to" and repair registry.
