Roccat Kone XTD issues

I've recently purchased one of these and had it replaced, but the issue is still there!

Basically whilst I move the mouse around it will occasionally pause and lock in position momentarily until I move the mouse a bit further. It's a bit odd as it's almost like it's trying to snap to something on the screen which is invisible. Has anyone seen this problem before?

I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro and using the latest Roccat Drivers and Firmware.

Have the exact same issues if I use it on my desk, but works perfectly with a mouse mat.

Ah at least I'm not the only one. Have you got the Tracking Control Unit enabled at all? I've turned this off and it seems to be working ok at the moment *touches wood*

What you've said probably explains why I'm having the issue as I use a hard surface mouse mat (ironically Roccat's own Alumic mouse mat)

I had similar probs when I first got mine as I didn't use a mat, bought a mat and calibrated - works fine now

Grr just happened again. I think I'll swap back to the old mat style instead of this Alumic I've got and give that a go.

Have been using my old razer goliathus mat and it's been working perfectly the last few hours.

The XTD works gloriously on the OcUK mat
