Stumbled upon this today, looks quite interesting. I've not tried it yet as i'm about to go to bed but it looks like the majority of stuff on there is free, i'll be giving this a go tomorrow I think.

ROCCAT™ Power-Grid™ is an advanced and fully-customizable remote control for your PC. It lets you connect to, monitor, and control your PC and games directly from your smartphone – and all without having to leave the action. Best of all: it’s totally free to get started.

Sounds just what I'm lookibg for. Will give this a go tonight. Don't like the "to get started" at the end though.
Does this mean it will cost?

Has this been released now? I tried signing up to the beta but never heard anything.

I knew there was some features you'll have to pay for if i remember correctly, but still an awesome piece of software.

They mention you can have 4 'grids' for free, and premium allows you to have more (so basically more customisation/versatility). They are also launching a keyboard with built-in phone dock that lets you answer calls through your headset, so it seems like the free software is meant to integrate better with their premium hardware. Makes sense to me.

Wish they had a full iPad app, shame about having to run it in a smaller window, i shall download it for my nexus 4 however, although this seems exactly what i wanted never being able to hear my mates on teamspeak!

I have this on my phone.
It has a few useful features, I suppose... media controls, open files, play movies and music. The system stats monitor tab is pretty neat, but only for show.
It's useful if, like me, you use your rig as a little HTPC as well and are THAT far away from the keyboard that you'd have to get up to pause the film.

The one thing it really lacks above all else is a trackpad area, so you're essentially opening a file by navigating via keyboard, but with a flippin' touchscreen phone (or a tablet, if you have joined the 21st Century).
Most operations on this thing are minutes quicker if you just get up and click the mouse a few times!

The other use, as a keyboard-inlaid touchscreen panel (assuming your model of phone fits the recess) will be novelty fun if your game supports it, but not exactly groundbreaking... especially if you have a STRIKE 7, G15 or similar keyboard already.

It looks like Roccat's answer to Razer's versions of the same concept.

It's got a trackpad 'grid'/app - currently in beta according to tomshardware (works but no multitouch as yet).

It's quite a nice idea, but only really for either comms (i.e. who's talking on teamspeak?) or for games that are a bit slower (I can in no way see using this for anything in a twitch shooter except monitoring my GPU temps in the background, for example, because the actual keybinding will always be quicker).

Something like the X series of games I can see a nicely made interface being a really nide addition to the 'feel' of playing the game.

Ok... I've got my screen duplicated on both the monitor and big TV, and a batch file in the task bar that swaps the audio between them with a single click.

Could this app allow me to execute that batch file from my iPhone?
If so, I'm in for that alone!!

Being able to control volume etc would be handy too.

It has a built-in volume control that has different sliders for different applications, which looks nice.

I imagine if you can configure a keystroke to run the batch file (something like ctrl-alt-F11 that you'd never otherwsie use) then you could do it with this thing.

also works over wifi, so no need to have it 'docked' to use it.

Now I have had a play around with it I think it all seems to work nicely although I do not think that I will get a great deal of use out of it. Hopefully some other folks can find some of the best uses for it and put together some nice tabs then share them with lazy grasshoppers like myself.

There had been mention of keyboards and standalone docks being released that hold your phone which sounds interesting. If I do find some good uses for the app then a dock would seem like a good buy.

I also signed up for the beta a long time ago.
I cant get it to connect my phone.

Make sure both PC and phone are connected to your WiFi.
Open the app on the PC, then hit the button to pair a device with it. This should bring up what the app *thinks* is your IP address...

Now open the app on your phone.
The phone app should have two buttons - Scan and Connect. Pressing scan will prompt you to enter the PC's IP. Use the IP specified in the PC app, as it may differ from your actual IP.

No idea why it does this, but that's how I got mine working.

I will look at it again tonight.
