Roccat Sub Standard Build Quality

Just stay away from Roccats mechanical keyboards, I went through 2 Ryos MK Pro's in the last 2 weeks, Each had a faulty LED and non functioning keys.
Apparently the problem is not isolated, They are using sub standard LED's and sub standard solder in their circuits.

Most be in partnership with Corsair as that's what happening to the K70s.

Same experience with the headsets, went through 3 Kave headsets (kept using RMA) until I decided enough was enough. Refuse to touch anything made by Roccat ever again.

I'm a bit late to this thread, but my MK Pro has 25 unlit keys so I'd suggest it hasn't been sorted.

Similarly late to this thread but wanted to add my experience.

I got the Roccat Ryos MK FX a month or so ago and it's amazing. Solid build great features and I consolidate my peripheral software as I also use the Roccat Nyth (amazingly great and versatile mouse).

This keyboard is a revised edition of the previous Ryos boards and addresses the faults as outlined in this thread. I've got a few Ducky shines, Corsair strafe rgb and Logitech G910 spark but this is my new favourite.

Roccat are over hyped imo,Their products are not worth the money in build quality and features.

Go with Steel series instead.

I have had two Steelseries mice fail just after the end of the warranty! It is a shame as I do liek their products.

They are on my never to buy list as well.

As it stands -

ASUS (screwed me over on an RMA)
XFX (just appalling service)
Steelseries (as above)

When I first tried to move away from my Razer Diamondback I went to a Roccat Kone, had two of them that both had to be RMA'd within a month each and ended up giving up and going back to my Diamondback. I used am***n for mine and they were brilliant in refunding / RMA'ing etc, but when I contacted Roccat directly to explain the disappointment there reply just gave the impression that they couldn't care less.

I vowed never to buy Roccat again and I never have.

I have a Roccat Ryos MK Pro and I do like the keyboard, especially the fact that it doesn't have a Caps Lock key.
However a large amount of the LED's have failed which does infer that their QA department is pretty poor.

Any issues with the SOVA?

Looking to buy one asap but these comments have put me right off, especially as i had a VALO keyboard years ago and it was an unreliable pile of junk

Same for me. Roccat Ryos MK Pro, over half my LEDs have failed, tried to go to Roccat for a RMA a few months ago (which is about 16 months after purchase from OC UK) Only to be told that they wouldn't honour the 2 year warranty as it was up to seller to sort out. OC UK only covered it for 1 year so I was stuck.

Got a Corsair Strafe yesterday, happy with the change, feels nicer and has better software. I do also have a Kone XTD though, which hasn't given me any problems so far. Will stick the Ryos up for sale as faulty and avoid them in the future just out of principal.
