Excellent price and I really like the look of it but there are some poor reviews on OcUK:-

1. The bad points are that the LCD display is very glitchy, it tends to get stuck on certain modes. Sometimes it just shows wierd characters like wingdings instead of what it's supposed to. Also there is a major bug with it, typing can become almost impossible. For some reason it misses keystrokes if you type faster than 1 letter per second

2. The backlighting is so weak its nearly not visible

3. The keyboard emits a terrible whine when the backlight is on

Have these issues been addressed?

If I purchase one and it still exhibits any of the above can I return it under DSR?

I'm guessing since this is V2 those issues have been fixed?

Roccat did the same with their Kone mouse, released a V2 which fixed the dodgy scroll wheel.

Unless those reviews are FOR the V2.
 
I've just read a review on it and it did really bad and the reviewer said that it is terrible to type on which kind of defeats the object of it.

Do you have one of these keyboards on display in your shop? If not, could it be arranged?
 
I've had a reply from Roccat with regards to possible issues with this keyboard: -

'First of all, there is no product called Valo V2. I guess the shop means that it is from a later production. It is true that customers have reported hearing a high-pitched noise back then, which only stops when key illumination is switched off.

This is a phenomenon which is perceived differently from person to person; for many, such a high-pitched noise is hardly noticeable.

In response to this feedback, we’ve looked into this issue more closely back then, and established that the high-pitched noise is being caused by one of the keyboard’s mechanical components. As such, we’re really sorry to say that the noise can’t be stopped by either a driver or a firmware update.

I’m actually surprised that this shop still has the Valo as new Keyboard on stock. The Valo was our first keyboard in 2008, and is not being produced anymore since years. I’m sure you will agree when I say that it’s not possible to do everything perfect on first try.
