The PS3 and Xbox360 version of rockband is up on the large rain forest store in the US for pre-order.
The PS3 version includes Drums, mic and wireless guitar.
The 360 version is the same apart from the guitar is wired!!
The 360 wireless guitar is $79.99 and the PS3 one $59.99

Anyone going to get the full bundle? Im considering it at the moment but I think it will be hit big time with import tax, delivery etc if I get it from the US. Anyone have any idea how much it would be?

i cant believe how expensive this is, sure it looks like an ok game but $200?!?

also i get the feeling the individual parts won't be as good as the seperate games, for example the trailers i've seen the guitar parts looked boring and simple compared to guitar hero 2. This is the sort of game that i'd like to see in arcades.

That will be down to the difficulty level.

I can't believe the PS3 wireless guitar is less than the 360 one. I can't think of any reason why this might be.

its because PS3 uses bluetooth where as 360 is a proprietry technology that microsoft charges 3rd party developes to use, and yes it annoying, but im quite happy with wired guitars.

MS are gits with their proprietary wireless crap.

I'll be getting the PS3 version me thinks :)

I'd prefer PS3 too, however, as a large portion of the awesomeness of the concept is due to the online play, I can't help but think it'd be so much better on the xbox 360 with Live....

Dont think there will be any differences to be honest, Home will be out by then also. Thinking about home it would be quite cool you could meet up with your online Band mates in Home have a quick chat about songs etc in your practice room type thing then just jump into the online game from there.

I forgot about home, how cool would it be if you could put on Rock Band concerts on a monitor in Home!!

Wouldn't happen though :( but still would be cool lol

Money, what a controller that is :P

Its not going for much but I only played on mine once and most have been used loads, just going to keep it for years and years.

ah, steel batallion, what a controller. My mate had one, its just a pity that the game itself was fairly average, and rock hard

It was however worth playing just for the starting up your mech :D

Im sure ive heard somewhere that the guitar is based on a real fender strat, and its heavier with buttons for solos or something like that.

Personally i cant wait to have a go on the drums :)

As Red Octane have the Gibson licence, I guess Fender was the natural one to approach for Harmonix!

Yeah I can't wait for the drums either, going to be awesome. Generally can't wait for the game! The hardest decision between now and then will be which console to buy for the game, as I'll definately be buying the full Rock Band pack and probably an extra wireless guitar too (hopefully the rock band guitars will work for GH3 too, or i'm going to be hella out of pocket this christmas!

I'll take your puny 3/4 Fender guitar...

...and Cheets Steel Battalion uber stick...

and raise you the best controller that the gaming world has ever seen...
