Rock Band PS3 Release Date?

Hi guys, I've done some digging but can't seem to find anything solid.

Does anyone know a when the PS3 version of Rock Band will be released over here?

I think its penned for sept/oct time, keeping it 'exclusive' for 360 for 3 months or so.

BUT, the us version is region free and half the price, i know what id be doing.

That's a fair point, would the downloadable content work if I bought a US version though??

I GUESS you'd have to download the content through a US PSN account (again, will be cheaper) but i don't know for sure. Google probably tells you, there must be US import owners on here aswell.

I got an e-mail yesterday from a retailer for Rock Band, when you click the links it says 2 weeks yesterday.

EA released a date of 29th of August, then retracted it the next day. Weird.

i have the us version of rock band as far as dlc goes im informed that the dlc wont/is not region coded so dlc from uk/jap/us will all work

I've bought the imported special edition from a UK seller, I can get the DLC from the US PSN store using Entropay and I use my US profile on the PS3 to play it and it all works great. I paid probably as much as it will cost when it finally comes out over here in september, and the DLC probably works out cheaper at $2 for each track and $6 for a track pack, I can image it will cost the same but in pounds on the UK store. Also there will be some Euro specific tracks in the UK version that will be released on the US store.

The only problem I will have is with warranty, so if anything breaks on the drum kit I shall have to replace it myself which isn't so bad, there are plenty of cheap fixes on auction sites and I can just wait until the UK release to use the warranty here.

i allso use dlc from the states but i play mine on my uk psn plenty of others do aswell allso the game updated from the uk psn.
