Rock Band Track Listing

Wasn't there a youtube video of Welcome to the Jungle being played? But that is missing from the track list :(

I hope this isn't going to be a $200 game that ships with 5 songs and you get savaged with DLC to try make more money off you.

Welcome to The Jungle is on Guitar Hero 3, maybe you saw it on that? I think this game is going to be extortionate, its already ridiculous at launch and DLC is unlikely to be cheap considering this is EA.

I think it was the first rock band video released, it was probably just harmonix demo'ing the technology. As the song's on GH3, i'd say it's unlikely to be on Rock Band tbh.

As for the game.... for OcUK bands on PS3, I bags drums!!! :D

Am i the only one who thinks the concept has gone a bit far. It all seems a bit over the top, for all the effort of getting that many people together and buying all the equipment id rather try and learn the real thing and not feel like a dick?

Maybe im just getting cynical?

no i dont think you're too cynical. Guitar Heros fine but spending 200 quid on equipment and forming a 'band' to 'jam seems a little bit excessive.

I don't know about you guys, but I play guitar too. I'm relatively musical, i'm not amazing or anything, but i'm alright. Guitar Hero and Rock Band are just a damn good laugh, it's nothing like playing the real instruments, you just can't really compare. If you feel like a dick playing the games, then simple as, don't play them.

I see the games as party type games, great to have a good laugh with. That's all they are at the end of the day, a game! Dunno where you guys are getting £200 from either, the rumor is $200 in the US, which'll probably equate to £130-150.

If the whole kit is too rich for you but you still want to play the game, just get the game + 1 of whatever controller takes your fancy the most, that way it won't be any more expensive than guitar hero.

And when has that ever been the case?? $200 over there normally equates to £200 over here. Add in the cost of DLC and its going to be a damn expensive game. Thats as much as a console!

alright evilgrin, dont worry I wont be spending money on it, I can think of a lot better uses.

I just see the games as novelties not as something Id invest in. I love most rythm games, gitaroo man, elite beat, donkey konga, samba de amigo were all total class. Its just when it takes itself a bit seriously I draw the line.

Each to their own, dont get defensive about it.

Thinking about it rationally, they won't price the guitar + game higher than guitar hero, or they'll cut out marketshare. So, that's £70 for the Guitar + Game...

Now, a drum controller + a microphone for £130? I don't see that happening. The combined package is meant to provide a decent saving from purchasing the controllers seperately too.

I see consoles in general as a big novelty, but hey that's just me. I'm looking forward to the game, and won't mind outlaying the cash for it, so long as it's within reason. If when it comes out, you guys are right and it is £200, as doubtful as that is, that'd be a fairly large rip-off, which means it'll be less likely i'll be getting it. I really don't think they can afford to be stupid with their prices, as they will live or die by them. We shall see!

plus you'll need 2 guitars if you want a full band.

Pfft, if you want to make a full band, you can get people to get their own stuff or just make a band with mates online, which'll be what a lot of people do I reckon as not everyone will be able to afford to get all the gear for a full band. So you could play the game fine with just 1 controller tbh.

Personally i'll more than likely get the complete kit, so guitar, drums, mic and game as I'd like to try everything and I really doubt that it'll cost more than £150 for that. As for making a full band in the living room, i'll probably just make a band with my other half and grab some mates online to fill the other slots. :)

I'm surprised something like this hasn't been done before with MIDI controller data be used in an online gaming kind of way to have a band play together.
