Rock in Peace Marty Balin :(

To many users here, Marty Balin might not tickle your fancy nor might he be known to many of you. Just wanted to say that the founder of the American psychedelic band of the 1960s JEFFERSON AIRPLANE (maybe Jefferson Starship may ring a bell to some of you....), MARTY BALIN died at 76 in Fla. Together with Jorma Kaukonen, Paul Kantner, S. Spencer and Grace Slick (later), the Jefferson Airplane created the typical West Coast psychedelic sound that still today inspires many a psychedelic/acid/stoner/rock band! Marty wrote masterpieces like Today, Somebody to Love and Miracles, among many others, and Grace Slick with her amazingly sexual voice did the rest
R.I.P. Marty and ty for all the GOOD PSYCHEDELIC VIBES thru the years

Spencer Dryden was the drummer in the early years.

Yes, I got mixed up with Skip Spence who was another performer in the 1960s (from Canada).
