Are rock a good brand of laptop? I have about £900 to spend and would like to buy a good all round laptop. I am not overly fussed about the graphics card as I am soon to be buying an Xbox 360. I would preferably like a 17inch screen.
Basically I would like people to give me some ideas of what I should consider buying.

You could get a pretty decent MacBook for £900, screen will be quite a bit smaller than you want though. You can get 17 inch laptops for £900 (Dell, Acer etc.) however the spec tends to be quite a bit worse.

I forgot to mention I do not want a fujitsu siemens as I currently have one and have found the build quality to be awful. Are gateway a good brand? It seems like I have to pay over £1000 to get a good laptop with a 17inch screen. keep the suggestions coming.

Is this a good deal? Toshiba laptop featuring Windows Vista Home Premium, Intel Core 2, 2ghz Duo processor, 2GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, DVDRW & 15.4" widescreen display, 128MB GF7600GO graphics card. For £1000.
