I've not tried it but simplest would probably be any of the unused molex connectors. Yellow relative to black is +12V, red relative to black is +5V.

I wouldn't start poking around with a multi meter.

Sounds like either a graphics card problem or power. Swap to the other card.

I'm going to get a 1000w corsair's PSU from Maplin.

Can always take it back....

Update - If anyone is interested.

I bought the new PSU, but haven't installed it yet. I swapped the cards again and updated the Asus X-99s BIOS (I was at least 6 months behind on BIOS updates) and it was running fine last night for hours.

Even ran Realbench 2.43 Stress Test for 30 minutes before trying some games and rock solid. Played DOOM for 90 minutes and Overwatch for 20 minutes.

Will put the second Titan X back in tonight and see if the issues start up again...
