Rock Xtreme CTX laptop failure

Hi,

My Xtreme CTX laptop will no longer turn on. The power pack has a green light on it when it's not plugged in, however glows on and off when plugged into the laptop (and makes a low clicking noise at both ends).

I have tried a replacement power pack and it is doing the same. Is it likely to be the motherboard as someone advised? Apparently it uses a Clevo M570U and is £440 to replace! Laptop is 3 years old...2 months out of warranty.

Has anyone experienced the same thing?

Thanks mollymoo. Was expecting that but really annoying as just outside warranty. Was still a good lappy for general use.
