I don’t have any major issue with my cpu. A fast 4 core with HT is still fine for most people.

your RTX3070 can't hit 60fps? sounds like you have a bad bottleneck somewhere

Yes I am. CP2077 dlss of course and RDR2 is fine.

I'm simply saying that a 4790k just about hangs on at 4k/60 if you can take some dips.

What was a point of releasing 11xxx. Just a stop gap, so people wont forget about them. Anyone that will be upgrading to 11xxx series must be a bit daft. When intel will be releasing new cpu's later in the year.

when i play game and also stream to tv as second monitor, some games take a massive performance hit with my 6600. Im hoping 6 core and faster speed will resolve that.
Most people I think 5-7 year old quad core is absolutely fine unless you use specific resource intensive apps/games.
Web browser/youtube is not demanding

What was a point of releasing 11xxx.

Intel proves again what a rubbish and worthless corporation it is.
It could have been at least a bit honest and label the top part as Core i7-11700K in replacement of the old 8-core Core i7-10700K.
