ROG Hero board or ???

Just a quickie is worth going for the Asus Hero board or is there anything out that is better for gaming??

The ROG boards are really good, with good bios. I recently replaced my Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H for a V Gene and so much happier with it.

Good choice to go with Asus ROG. They are top boards with some great overclocking capabilities and features.

Cheers guys, I am looking at Corsair Vengence Black 2x4gb ram is it worth while or should I go for 16gb or is there a better alternative to the 8gb?

Samsung Green 8GB would be best to get, low profile which means all heatsinks will fit, very good overclockability, works colour wise.

The higher profile ram, causes issues with heatsinks which can be easily avoided early on.

Great at Overclocking too, can easily get the to 2400 Mhz.

Have to agree the ASUS boards are spot on - nice BIOS, great overclocking features and pretty reliable. Only questionable part is the warranty support, not heard good things.
