So I have just installed a new Rog Strix 2080 Super OC edition, the card seems to be running alright apart from one annoying problem, whenever i load a game up as soon as the temps hit 55 degrees the fans seem to go to 100% and they stay there til i restart the system, even after i exit any game that was running and the temps have gone back down the fans still sit at 100%
I've tried using msi afterburner to set a custom fan curve but its not even showing an rpm for the fans on the gpu, also gpuz shows the fans firing up when the temp hits 55 degrees and then shows them slowing down once the temps begin to lower except they aren't actually slowing down they're still sitting at 100%. I'm also running the latest Nvidia Drivers for the card.
Anyone got an idea of what might be causing it? Its been a while since i built a system so not sure if I'm missing something obvious or if I have just got a faulty card? dunno if I wanna deal with a system that loud, especially given the price of the gpu.
