Odd problem that pops up every so often is that there will be a burst of sound (fluctuating) that happens while playing a game or music, which will last for a couple of seconds. I have looked around on the net for information and even sent a query to Asus support (no answer yet), but so far no joy. Any suggestions what it is and how one could possibly fix this? The headset is a couple of years old now...

Could be even some interference bursts from something in environment.
Could be also something starting to break up.
Gaming headphones are cheap production trinkets for making big fat profit margins on marketing hype.

The headset died, so I am guessing it's the battery and as the warranty is no longer valid, I will need to replace the battery myself.

Problem right now is that my hands are no longer steady, but if there's a clip around giving me an idea how to do it, I'll give it a go, so suggestions?
