Hey All,

Need some advice please I was just about to get a PS4 when I realised I couldnt use it on the swift as it has no HDMI ports but I think Ive found a solution I want to check with you lot.

What I would do is buy this EVGA DisplayPort 1.2a 3 Port Hub 1 In - 3 Out that way I could use the display port on my monitor to my pc but then use one of the other outs to connect a Display Port to HDMI connector to connect the PS4.

Do you think this could possibly work at all????

I don't think DP to hdmi is particularly easy to achieve at all. You'll probably find it pretty problematic I expect! Hdmi to DVI is easy but converting either to DP is a pain

Are you set on Gsync?
 
ah i see. pretty sure you'd need an active adapter of some sort to use HDMI > DP, but then using a splitter as well will complicate things. i expect it will be very difficult, if even possible :(
 
Ahh k thanks for the help Baddass i knew you would probably be best person to ask appricate your time and help. Looks like my son is going to loose the Dell 27" 1440P monitor I gave him and no hes not getting my swift keeping that for my pc and use the Dell for PS4 hehe.

I was under the impression that the swift can't accept any inputs that are not the native 2560x1440 as the gsync module doesn't have a scaler?
