I could do with some help deciding . I don't have mega money to spend. But I've been looking at the above 2 monitors . As a small upgrade over my 60hz ultrawide I've owned for about 5 years .
I was looking into the Asus 43" monitors recently and decided the PG43 was the better of the two, apparently the XG43 has a lot of problems with smearing and text clarity. These problems are still there to some extent in the PG43 but not as bad. In the end I found I couldn't fit a 43" so went with the LG 38GN950 instead.
Edit: Oh wait, nevermind - got confused by Asus naming conventions. I was looking at the 16:9 43" monitors, the one you have mentioned is an ultrawide.
Also note that the Viewsonic XG320U is due soon (32" 4k/144hz) and could be another option around that pricepoint (£900ish). If you're used to IPS I'd stick with IPS tbh, as stated above VA can have some compromises.
