Rogue hairs

I just wanted to check if this was a normal occurence.

Recently, I have been getting a lot of rogue hairs growing in random places. They grow a couple of inches long in the space of a day and usually appear right in the centre of my forehead, on my wee finger, on the bridge of my nose and I even had one on my ear.

They are very thick, wirey and are grey in colour. I woke up this morning to find one right in the centre of my forehead. It was at least an inch and a half long and it wasn't there when I was shaving last night. What are these hairs all about and what causes them?

The fact that they are grey scares me :o
 
Don't be scared by grey hairs, I have a couple sometimes although they always appear round the same spot just by my right ear.

Well I did have one at the base of my thumb, right round the side, almost on my palm :(

How do these superhairs manage to grow so quickly?
 
Are you sure they grow a couple of inches long in the space of a day?!?! That's some super accelerated growth!

I have the exact same thing cept it grows out my right eyebrow, just one long grey hair amongst loads black hairs, it does grow uber fast, comes again every so often, once every couple of months perhaps.
 
I knew I wasn't alone :D

..they are pretty weird though! I have a few on my back, and down my arms.. occassionally one on my forehead too!
