as a kids action movie it was good fun, and introduction to the francise, it was Stallone selling it with his fame.

Karls movie much better and executed, i felt, less of a kids actionflic (that said i do need to re watch Stalons move and Karls Dread for better comparrision instead of memory).

Yes, but making Dredd a kids movie was half the problem in the first place (I remember seeing it in the cinema at 13)
