Anyone tried it yet?. Was released on the 21st iirc.

Been a big fan of Rogue since i was a kid and got 2000AD every week. The subject matter has been crying out for a game conversion for years. Could be brilliant, then again, it might be a pile o' poo.

Vids of the in-game footage look pretty good, some of the textures on the surroundings look pretty basic though, although the vid quality is a little dark to see properly.

I notice its a cross platform release, which as we know, doesn't always bode well for PC versions, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for it anyway.

It looks like a third person shooter. Kinda "Halo" like.

Click on the menu on the website then click on "downloads" and the in-game vids are there.

Got it yesterday, had a quick play last night and I am loving it, purely as I was a big Rogue Trooper fan, story lines such as the Mauraders and Major Magnum were excellent. The novelty factor of the game has prob won me over instantly and I was pleased witht he game play, nothing startling, but well worth it imo.....

Also found this at the BBC Website, the first edition of Rogue for your reading

I'd agree. It's not going to win any "Game of the month" awards, but its fun and has some nice wee touches.

It manages to bring across the feel of Rogue Trooper from the comic very well indeed, more so than the previous efforts with the awful Judge Dredd games.

I'm enjoying it so far, having only got it yesterday. I'm not too far into the game, but its proving to be a wee change from Oblivion anyway.

It's a very stylish and well-executed game, more so if you're familiar with the Rogue Trooper, or like me, a huge fan. I love it :D

*Possible Spoiler*

How do you get past that huge mech outside the cathedral in Nu Paris?. The technique used with the previous, smaller mechs, scrambler nade and jumping on their backs, doesn't seem to work here?.

I bought this game today without reading a review, which is something I don't do often, but I have been a fan since I was a kid and the prospect of a half decent game based on Rogue Trooper was enough to take a chance.
Having seen this thread, it looks like it might be alright.

Now how about games based on Robusters and Strontium Dog.
I can only dream.

I think this game is great, really capturing the spirit and imagination of the comic. Its nothing revolutionary in terms of gameplay, but offers a well thought out and fun blast. I love the way you can use your Biochipped equipment, like setting Gunnar up as a sentry gun to cover you while you are doing something else.

If you are a Rogue Trooper fan, I am sure you will enjoy it.
