Roller Coaster tycoon 2 on windows 7

I have a real craving to play this but it wont start, I had to download it (legally) as I had lost the original disk.

Anyways it installs fine but when i click on the logo it just says rct2.exe has stopped working, more details idenify it as an APPCRASH.

I've tried the ususal recomendations: compatabiliy mode, run as admin, 256 colours, disable visual theme ect, but it still wont work, i tried running it in xp mode too, but that bought up a an active debug message.

Ideas?

Had no issues installing it and playing it with the cd on win7, worked out the box. Maybe your legal download is bad?

Perhaps a nocd might work

If I remember correctly for me the CD crack was what caused me problems. Works fine otherwise.

BUT, i fixed the problem. I downloaded another copy, but Illegally instead and it works a treat - last time i ever pay for anything. puh
