Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Patches on Windows 7

Hi Guys,

I had a copy of RCT3 on my shelf for a while, and only now have I got round to installing it. I then tried to install a patch to fix some of the problems with the game that i have heard about, but the bloomin patch thinks I don't have RCT3 installed.

Has anyone had any luck getting a patch to install?

RCT3 with all addon packs worked fine for me. I dont think i patched them to be honest. just a clean install did me fine.

hi mate

i have a spare copy of roller coaster tycoon 3 (pc gamer edition) works flawlessly with all the updates built into the cd, works first time on win 7 64 bit i went out and got the deluxe edition with soaked and wild on it for £5 so it's no longer needed. send me a trust if u would like my spare copy for cost of postage or you can get the deluxe edition from wilkinsons for a fiver

*edit* is it the vanilla original version from way back or is it a re released pc gamer or mad editon

I've got the PC Gamer edition. Does that mean the game is already patched?

Ah right excellent, so I must have wasted an hour trying to get a patch to install when it wasn't needed at all!

give it a try

you can also set custom resolutions in the config file i set mine to 1920x1080 but text is a little small so might want to keep a in game options resolution

Glad you seem to have gotten it working. The RCT series downst get as much love as it deserves. i'll be honest though and say i'd have not bothered with 3. 2D isometric was way better than 3D for me.

What problems had you heard about as I haven't updated the game and I didnt have any problems.

I really disliked RCT3. Really bad UI and loads of enjoying bugs. I loved the first one. Just a shame it doesn't work well on modern machines.

And empty queues ! , the same exciting rides barely new won't attact or keep the same amount of people as in RCT1 and 2.
