RollerCoaster Tycoon 3

Deluxe all the way. amazingly fun game, shame that i MUST complete Rainbow Six first, otherwise thats where a lot of my time would be going

My friend showed me RCT2 the other day, so I had decided to try the demo out of RCT3, whacked all settings up to full and was quite impressed.

One thing though, is the resolution capped at 1024x768 like it is in the demo?

no, other resolutions are available in game. You have to modify an ini file though for certain settings.

I recently bought RCT3, the 'deluxe edition', last week infact.

It contains:

RCT3
Soaked!
Wild!

Downloaded the 3 Wild! patches and off I went. :D

It's the Options.txt found in your C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Atari\RCT3 folder. :)

Personally, i dont think you can beat the first game. However, it no longer likes to work on XP so im stuffed.

RCT2 was pants and ive never been able to get the same enjoyment from the 3rd as i did from the 1st.

I dunno, the first was a great game. The second was the same but with more options for building upwards. The second was defo the better game IMO, but of course you've seen it all in the first one so you've already had most of the fun there is to be had in the second, if you've already played the first.

The third was good, pretty damanding though once you have pretty lighting and such.

I installed the game on a seperate drive and i cant seem to find a similar file. Annoyances!!

I have a RCT3 folder but when i open there are only folders, no files :( Any ideas?

I used to love RCT1. Had a brief go with RCT2 and it did seem improved with some long awaited options, such as one way paths etc.

I downloaded the RCT3 demo, but didn't like it as much due to the freedom in placing stuff wherever you liked - there didn't seem to be a grid system going on anymore where you could easily line things up and work out what would fit where. Am I right in thinking this, or did I miss something?

There is a grid thing and patch 3 really makes the game a lot more playable.
