Rolls Royce 2 door or 4 door

simple question really. If you had the money and were going to buy a rolls royce would you go for a 4 door or a 2 door?

I presume your referring to the Rolls Royce Phantom and Drophead?

If so, it would depend entirely on your age / situation, whether you want a driver or want to drive yourself etc. If I was getting one at the age of 19 I would go for the Drophead. Interior-wise both are pretty much the same. My uncle has a Phantom and I've had a good look at the Drophead and apart from the awesome wooden, decking type thing the convertible has the interior is very similar. The Drophead also has more up-to-date styling and will age better. The headlights on the Phantom seem to be showing age already.

I was thinking drophead myself. Don't the roofs on convertables deteriate faster than hardtops though?

It's a £300,000 car. The chances of the roof detoriating are very low. A guy actually oils the wood on the roof at the yearly service.

I saw a RR Drophead coupe the other day. It looked massively ungainly pottering about town.

I think that they shouldn't be allowed to be driven around humdrum, grey Sunday afternoon town centers like the one I saw. It just looked odd. There should be a special reserve consisting of a network of long gravel driveways and country manors where they are driven TBH.

If I had a Rolls Royce, it'd unquestionably have to be a 4 door. It wouldn't be right otherwise. A Rolls Royce is a massive car, and just looks odd in coupe form.

Which has the easiest access to the rear? (without doing a high jump into the back).

Why is that relevant? Unless you're suggesting having to put the seat forward to get in to the rear means you have no friends?

So everyone driving coupes or 3-door cars are lonely.

Seriously? Do you need a diagram?

Diagram of what? I'm not debating whether it's easier to get into a four door than two door, you don't need to a be genius to figure that out.

Re-read your own posts. What you've suggested is people driving the drophead are ''rich and lonely''. What's the basis for this statement considering both the two door Rolls and the four door Rolls have exactly the same number of seats. Having to move the seats forward to get people into the back doesn't make you lonely
