Has anyone else ever experienced this series of strategy games? I have often played RotTK 8 on the PS2 and enjoyed it. I've recently purchased a pc version of the latest game, no. 11 [yes there are many of these games; they date back to the amiga system!]

I was just wondering if there were any fellow o/cUK members who adore these games and the period of history itself.

I've played a few of them including the current version, but I play the Dynasty Warrior series of games a lot more often.

I just love the history of China's Three Kingdoms Period, whether it is the Romance novel or the actual real history itself.

And on another note, there is also John Woo's Red Cliff film, though I would recommened the original 2 part version and not the edited western release.

I loved the Romance books - they kept me sane for about three months worth of communting back and forward each day for work.

I only played RotTK 10 on the PC (I think it was 10 anyway) but still love playing through the Dynasty Warriors games. I like the idea of the RotTK games but I don't have anywhere near enough time to sit and give them a proper play.

Yeah I know how you feel about the time needed to play the game. I'd suggest the Kessen series and/or Dynasty Tactics series for RotK alternative.

The Dynasty warriors series are fantastic, I just wish they would develop it a bit further in terms of actual current gen hardware and gaming expectancies. DW2 was phenomenal when t first came out on the PS2, especially considered with the original beat em up...
