Rome 2 : Total War

Yeah it requires Kingdoms.
Empire and Nap are a good game with darthmod. But me personally aint a fan of that era so didnt put much time into it. Thats what i like about Total War series you got different periods in history to pick from. I think i played kingdoms the most especially with mods. But the winner for me was Rome i just love that period.
I got steam by itself on a 500gb HDD ive only got abut 10gb left.
Im thinking of getting a new monitor, even though mines good i just want an even better one.....

I have kingdoms so no bother. Just wondered.

I am a history buff, and the early modern period doesn't interest me nearly as much as ancient and medieval.

The upgrade itch is incessant, but I have stood my ground since I built this one last May.

I can see RTW 2 pushing me into a new GPU though.

Probably will need a new graphics card it depends if you wanna play max settings.
You got the same cpu as i do, have you got it overclocked, you should easily get it to 4Ghz if you only got the stock cooler.

No chance of 4GHZ, it runs too hot on stock cooler.

It's in the 50s and 60s @ 3.6GHZ.

57 degrees right now with Iplayer on.

Own all Total Wars from the original Shogun onwards. Love how the series has grown. Also love how Creative Assembly has grown from a couple of people to what it is now...atleast someones seeing growth within the UK

I agree 100% they deserve all the plaudits they receive for consistantly turning out great games that respect the fans of the series, I even loved Empire though it had its detractors.

I'm amazed the Seleucids aren't a starting faction. Though I'm guessing it'll be much like Empire, and all the remaining factions (such as the greek city-states, Aedui etc ) will be minor factions. It'll be modded within days to allow you to play as anyone hopefully.

Looks like there might be more than 8 factions theres another icon space on the faction page. And also in the total war forum there is a hint from the developers that they actually didnt say 8 was the final count;)

Next rallypoint video apparently theres gonna be another faction reveal.

For anyone interested, all the Total War games and DLC currently have 75% off at GreenManGaming. Just picked up Fall of the Samurai Collection and the remaining Shogun II DLCs that I don't have (Blood Pack, Hattori, Rise and Sengoku) for under a tenner. Utter bargain!

EDIT: Well that was anticlimactic. I thought FotS was a standalone game like Napoleon, so I entered the code, figuring I could give RotS or a Hattori campaign a shot while it downloads. Big mistake. It's an update for Shogun II. On my crappy rural internet connection, I should be playing the DLC that I've just bought around... Monday. Joy.

They'll probably release them as DLC and I'll be amazed if they don't do some kind of silly Spartan dlc.
