Rome 2 : Total War

Think this game may be exactly what I'm looking for to justify a new graphics card :D

I hope it plays better than shogun 2, because I didn't enjoy that one at all. Napoleon is spectacular by comparison.

Can't wait for this.

This is the game that has makes me think I need an upgrade this year. Seriously, that is amazing looking. I'm a huge fan of the TW series, and especially the original Rome and MII, but this has me more excited than any of the previous games, and that's saying something! Superb animations, great visuals, sound, camera angles, satellite view, wonderfully detailed map....

It's a real cliché in internet lingo by now, but I can't think of a better way to describe that - literally "epic".

Looking very good, lots need improving and im sure it will as thats prealpha footage. What i can see needs improving:
Arrows overpowered killing armoured legionnaires like being shot with a machine gun.
bodies burning over the top by flame arrows.
When the armies clash into each other, it looks like there bumbling about a bit.
Benny hill running again.
Battles are too quick.

But im very confident CA will sort that stuff out. I love the map its huge and and beautiful. The voices during battle, guy gets attacked by a dog and shouts out "oww my face" And another shouting "help there trying to kill me"

From what the videos show, troop movements look much better. Instead of spamming on order to watch them trudge along slowely, the troops look like they are much more lively, making battles much more responsive and fast paced.

Its worse its like shogun 2, look how unrealistic the movement is, they move to fast its not very realistic. But the devs said it will be sorted, but if not its gonna be modded.

Just saw this on that 'Creative Assembly Targets Intel' video, top comment too.

'Why the heck? AMD is way superior anyway.'

It's a shame how idiotic some people are.

So Rome 2 is £45 on Steam and £30 on Amazon, how the heck is there a £15 difference already. (some places have it listed at £25 so a £20 difference)

I never understood how they can justify charging more for digital only vs physical copy, especially when the physical copy give you a steam key and the same pre-order bonuses anyway.
