How do you win the people's heart? I have no idea. And is it just me or the freaking egyptians have like constant 2k army?

Playing as a Roman faction, you mean your approval rating with the people? Taking territories is the main boost, I think heroic victories have some effect too. The Egyptians do have a pretty strong starting position, and more chariots than sense, but just play to your strengths (Roman infantry) and you should get on fine.

ye been mass recruiting urban legionaries or whatever its called. 860 denarii per unit!! lol and i have like 20 ++ of them mass killing egyptians

Egypt is very easy to kill if you go for their big city's, murder out everyone, and then go away again, egypt in my game had huge armies in the front lines, but in egypt itself till israel area the cities were hardly protected , 2 groups per city, just captured their 5 biggest cities and witin notime they had an economical crysis, just get a nice big fleet of ships and drop off troops directly near alexandra and such cities, skip north africa&turkey frontlines, go straight for egypt.

Against the Egyptians you are going to need a load of archers.

Your infantry will be fairly useless against them because most of them are archers. In RTW mass archery is usually the way to cheap, easy victory.

The chariots - and chariot archers - will usually murder your cavalry in hand to hand if you expose them (by charging the enemy foot archers, for example), but they don't skirmish like horse archers so I just fought them in close combat with infantry - the big, well-developed Egyptian cities make retraining your advanced infantry possible straight away or within a few turns.

Worked for me, usually playing VH/H, itching for a game now :p.

Erm guys, the grand campaign, the objective is to control 50 region and become the supreme ruler of rome.

Do you become the supreme ruler by killing off the other houses?

Yes. To get out of the alliance you need to either get kicked out by the Senate, or have enough popular support to take the initiative yourself, keep an eye on the ratings in the Senate tab.

Ok I attacked the purple SPQR lol. And saved it on another file, incase i did it wrong.

But now my top 2 cities are surrounded by red and green.

You might also be able to win if Rome is your territory and you have 50 provinces without wiping out the rest of the Roman factions, been a while since I played.

Yea, but I don't like how 2 other factions have legionaires

And they are close to my main cities, so I have to wipe them out anyway

Horses in my experience proved useless in the desert.

I think you're right, those chariots are the most annoying unit ever created in this game and they should be striked for existing. I charged my cavalry towards them and they just run away and come back shoot and run away. wuss tbh
